Diwali is amongst the biggest festivals in the country. This day is mainly related to Lord Shri Rama. On this day, people pray to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. The relation of the festival to Lord Rama means its relation to the planet Sun.

But will this eclipse harm the significance of this biggest festival of the year? Will there be Lakshmi Puja this time? Would it be appropriate to perform Govardhan Puja? Read on to get answers to many such unresolved questions -
What is the meaning of eclipse in Astrology?
Before knowing the effect of the solar eclipse, it is very important to understand what it means in astrology. Why was eclipse not considered good? In astronomy, an eclipse means the unavailability of the light of the Sun or the Moon on the Earth.
In astrology, we understand an eclipse as a state when the Sun or Moon comes under the influence of Rahu-Ketu. Whenever this happens, the planets, i.e., Sun and Moon, lose their brightness. In astrology, the Sun represents our soul, and the Moon represents our mind. How can we imagine enlightening our lives when there is no light in our minds and souls?
Due to this reason, the conjunction of the Sun and Moon with Rahu-Ketu in the horoscope creates eclipse yoga which is not good at all.
Negativity surrounds such a person, and he is always involved in some controversy or the other. He does not get respect, and there is always a shortage of money and resources. In astrology, if Rahu-Ketu is related to the Sun and Moon, it creates Pitra Dosh and an eclipse or Grahan dosha. Both doshas cause difficulties and scarcities in life. Therefore, the eclipse yoga formed in the horoscope is always painful.
If seen from a different point of view, Grahan Yoga also gives deep spiritual understanding, which, if used properly, can also give a lot of spiritual progress to a person.
When is the solar eclipse?

The solar eclipse will occur on the next day of Diwali, i.e., October 25. Therefore, this eclipse will not have any effect on the worship of Diwali. How long will the Sutak period of the solar eclipse last?
According to astrology, Sutak starts about 12 hours before the solar eclipse. The temple doors are closed during this period, and no religious activities are performed. But if we talk about the solar eclipse falling on this Diwali, it will remain partially in the country.
For this reason, there will be no Sutak period in India because the Sutak period is valid only when there is a total solar eclipse in someplace. Although it is partial, there will be no Sutak period, and people will be able to perform their Diwali Puja as per the rituals.
Will there be a shadow of a solar eclipse this Diwali?
The solar eclipse that takes place the next day after Diwali has left everyone in a dilemma about how they will be able to celebrate this biggest festival in the right way. But as mentioned, this is a partial solar eclipse, and it will not have any bad effects on the worship and joy of Diwali.
